Welcome to Elgin Internal Medical Associates. We have been an established internal medicine practice in the Fox Valley area for more than 50 years. We currently have a staff of four board certified physicians who are affiliated with Sherman and Provena Saint Joseph Hospitals in Elgin and one CNP, APN.

Elgin Internal Medical Associates is a progressive practice utilizing a state-of-the-art approach to inpatient care. Should you require hospitalization your care will be provided by our associates from inpatient consultants of Illinois. These are certified physicians in internal medicine whose specialization focuses on inpatient hospital care and services.

Meet the professional physicians and CNP at Elgin Internal Medical Associates:

	Dennis Flynn, M.D.: Practicing over 25 years, Dr. Flynn joined Elgin Internal in 1986. He received his education at Loyola University Strich School of Medicine and completed his residency at Loyola University Hospital.
	Richard Baley, M.D.: Practicing over 25 years, Dr. Baley joined Elgin Internal in 1988. He received his education at Rush Medical College and completed his residency at Lutheran General Hospital.
	John Fiedler, M.D.: Practicing over 15 years, Dr. Fiedler joined Elgin Internal in 1997. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, attended Loyola Medical School, and completed his residency at the University of Michigan.
	Marie Schlentz, D.O.: Practicing over 15 years, Dr. Schlentz joined Elgin Internal in 2005. She graduated from Chicago Osteopathic Medical School and completed her residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. Dr. Schlentz is also a registered clinical pharmacist and practiced as such for 11 years prior to entering medical school. This additional expertise allows her to be proactive regarding the use of medications.
	Jessica L. Schuler, CNP, APN: Jessica comes from six years of critical care nursing and leadership experience at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She is a board certified nurse practitioner. Jessica graduated from Northern Illinois University with her MSN in 2009. Her studies were focused on adult medicine and included over a year and a half of internship experience. Internship work included private practice, women's health, and clinic settings. She is fully trained to perform comprehensive exams, determine appropriate plans of care and prescribe medications. Jessica joined Elgin Internal Medical Associates in April, 2010.
